Today’s Director Spotlight is on Mr. Don Krug at Lewis Cass Jr./Sr. High School in Galveston Indiana. Don talked with us just before his band’s trip to the 2015 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, his final marching band performance after 40+ years as a band director. I hope you enjoy the time we spent with Don with this Director Spotlight!

One of the best teachers (more importantly one of the finest men)I’ve ever met. Don was my middle school and high school director. More importantly, he’s the reason I became an educator. As a classroom teacher, a coach, a department chair and now a principal (Lawrence Central High School) there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t reflect back on the lessons about life and leadership I learned from Mr. Krug. I’m the luckiest guy around… Don Krug as a teacher and mentor and Randy Greenwell and Matt James as colleagues! It doesn’t get any better than that in music in the state or nation!
