Brother Dan, I have known you since you did your student teaching at Arlington High School with Gerry Knipfel and during the great years at Smith-Walbridge Camps and at the Butler Summer Music Camp.
You even performed a Tuba Solo with my band at Creston Jr. High School.
You have been a tremendous influence to the student band world especially in Indiana.
Congratulations on your retirement from Butler. You and I go way back to Dr. Henzie, Nilo Hovey, Dr. Robert Greschesky and many others. You and I have been members of Gamma Chapter, Phi Beta Mu for years. That is why I greet you from Arizona as a fellow member of Phi Beta Mu. I was fortunate to begin a chapter here in the state of Arizona in February of 2016. We have 30 charter members as of 2018.
